Neon Coral

Happy Monday! Wearing a pop of neon coral today. I love this skirt from I Shop Simply and I usually wear it with a denim or navy top. Today I decided to mix it up a bit with bringing out the coral accents in the skirt. I feel the top is a little too bright on it's own, so I paired it with the navy cardigan to tie it altogether. Hope you have a great week!

Boutique Deals

Follow on Instagram: @brittanyraeblog for more deals and outfit inspiration.

***Scroll down to see a list of my favorite online boutiques.***

I found the best deal a month ago. I got this entire outfit for under $35! I get asked all the time how much I spend on clothing and honestly it's not a lot. I usually won't spend over $20 on a top and over $25 on a skirt.  I try to stay under $40 for nice dresses (that I may need for work) and under $25 for regular dresses. Most of my attire is from killer sales that I keep an eye out for every week.
This outfit I'm wearing is all from Mindy Mae's Market . For under $35 for the top and skirt, I was thrilled! Mindy Mae's has amazing clothing and I am always looking for when they host their deals.  Mindy Mae Market has their spring sale happening April 25th-27th so set your alarms!
This necklace is from the beautiful collection from Mirina Collections. I love pairing bold statement necklaces with regular clothing. I love mixing it up that way. Use coupon code: mirinagirls at checkout for 20% off! They have an adorable ring set that is only $9 so with the discount deal, it's a steal!
I find my deals by following my favorite boutiques on Instagram and Facebook. Every day I scroll through my feed to see which boutiques have sales going on. I have found that most deals run on Friday-Monday. If I see something I like, I usually don't buy it right away. I keep an eye on it and wait for the sale. I have also found that most boutiques carry the same thing so you can find which boutique offers it for less. The boutiques I follow regularly are:

Classy L Boutique- 35% off this weekend. Code: classy35
Simply Reese Boutique- 15% off by signing up for their newsletter.
Mindy Mae's Market- Huge spring sale April 25th-27th.
Let's B Modest - 35% off this weekend. Code: motherlylove
Neesees Dresses - 10% off this month. Code: april
Simple Addiction - $5 off- Code: save5
Mikarose Clothing- Huge online sale, prices already reduced.

So keep your eye out especially going into the weekend and you can get your favorite looks for a lot less! Happy shopping my friends!

Julia Dress

For the past 6 years, I've worked at companies that require professional dress. So my closet is jam packed with many different styles, colors, and types of dresses.  I'm always on the lookout for modest styles and came across Lularoe. I love the fit of their Julia dresses. I love them so much I have about 30 of them in different prints. My friends who used to sell the dresses no longer do them which has been good on my pocket book. But you can find Lularoe all over. They are made in the U.S. and typically sold at house parties.
Here is one of my favorite Julia dresses that's not so much a dress I'd wear to work but I love wearing it on a date night, traveling, etc. They are so comfy!

Breakfast on the Go!

I'm a busy momma and I have about 1 hour in the morning to get myself and my girls ready for the day. I simply don't have time to make a big breakfast in the morning. I'm always looking for easy, quick and healthy breakfast ideas.
My friend Hannah from Hannah Fit Mom @hannahfitmom is always sharing tips and advice for breakfasts on the go. I've teamed up with her today to share one of her go-to breakfast muffins!  I love that they are easy AND healthy.  You could make it the night before or on the weekend to eat throughout the week.
Here is my beautiful friend-

Her instagram has the best tips and inspiration for working out at home!

Here is the yummy recipe:

Skinny Banana Oatmeal  Muffins

2 C. Steel cut oats (I blended rolled oats)

2 large, ripe bananas

2 large eggs

1 C. Plain Greek Yogurt

2-3 Tbsp. Honey

1 1/2 Tsp. Baking Powder

1/2 Tsp. Vanilla extract

1/8 tsp. Salt

1/2 C. Your favorite add-in (chocolate chips, crushed nuts, craisins, etc)

Preheat oven 400 degrees. Lightly grease muffin tin. If using muffin liners, lightly grease them too! Learn from my mistake!

Blend first ingredients in blender or mixer (I used my Bosch) for at least 3-4 minutes until batter is smooth. Then stir the mix ins by hand.

Divide batter between muffin cups and bake for 15 min or until toothpick comes out clean. Then let them cool for 10 min. Make sure to store leftovers in an airtight container. Enjoy! Makes 12 muffins.

Dressing Up Denim

I often get asked if it's appropriate to wear denim in the workplace. In the past, and even now, some companies specifically list denim as something you cannot wear to work.
Today I have some of my favorite bloggers helping me show you how you can dress up your denim(chambray)! With the right styling, you can look professional and classy in your denim attire. And if you thought denim couldn't look professional, I think these looks will help you see it in a new light!

Dark Denim:
I love this top. I think the darker color blends well with almost anything. The top tucked into the skirt gives it the more professional look. I added the pearls to dress it up even more. I always wear my necklaces under the collar, but that's just my preference. I add the belt for nothing more but to help me suck in, let's be real here! :)

Light Denim:
This is truly the softest top I own. My husband loves when I wear it because it's so soft! It's from Simply Reese Boutique and I styled it several different ways.

Here are a few other great ways to style these tops. I love how Alee from Obsession Expression (Find her on Facebook and Instagram-@obsessionexpression) paired it with this floral skirt and necklace. She always has the best outfit ideas full of color and great style.

I love this look with the khaki color and leopard print. These tops always looks great with tan/khaki colors!
Another one of my favorite bloggers, Emily Smith from Modest Goddess, has done a great job of pairing denim (chambray) with this floral piece. And how cute is her hair? Get all the outfit details on her blog post here.

Here is another look she did with this top. I love how she layered a sweater over it for this fun springy look. See the outfit details here.

All photos of Emily are by Diana Putnam Photography
Terri is so fun to follow on Instagram. She has so many great looks and I love how she styled this denim jacket. I think the red skirt is the perfect pop of color for this look. To see more of Terri's outfit inspirations check out her instagram: @iamterrib and go to www.liketoknow.it/iamterrib

Another look by Terri is this leopard print cardigan over a denim top. I think that is such a fun way to dress up your denim and mix up your outfits as well. I love this look!

Dressing up Classy has several cute ideas to dress up your denim. She always has great outfits! Oh how I would love a day in her closet! Follow Amber on Instagram at: @dressingupclassy and be sure to keep an eye out for her website coming live soon: www.dressingupclassy.com.

Another look with the sweater over the top. If you are going for this look, she recommends getting the sweater a size bigger than you normally do.
I love love LOVE this look! So classy and feminine.

Sandy has such a classy style and you can see several of her looks with denim and chambray on her blog. I think this look would be perfect in the work place. The accessories compliment the outfit perfectly. Follow her on Instagram: @sandyalamode and check out her blog for all the outfit details and more outfit inspirations!

I love getting outfit inspirations from others and I hope this post answers the question that yes, chambray and denim can be great in the workplace if styled the right way. I'd love to see your looks and thoughts on this as well!

Happy Thursday!
